In order to promote the merging of university students elites from mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and all over the world, as well as letting them know more about each other in different growing environments – our chamber has launched the “Elite Development Programme for the New Century” since the Handover of Hong Kong to China. This project provides a platform for elites from universities all over the world, allowing them to learn and understand more about each other’s society background, daily habits, and ideas etc. Over many years of development, this project has gained huge support from the Ministry of Education and Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, as well as recognition from numerous educational institutions, commercial and industrial enterprises, and virtuous socials. Since 1998 till now, over 2000 students have graduated from this programme.
